Relational Judaism Local Workshops

Relationships are at the heart of vibrant congregations.  Dr. Ron Wolfson, author of Relational Judaism, the community organizing professionals from JOIN for Justice (, and leaders from local synagogues will share strategies for building strong communities that prioritize interpersonal connections over transactional interactions.

This workshop is taking place in three local locations:

Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Westchester, at Beth El Synagogue Center, 1324 North Ave, New Rochelle, NY , 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Sunday, February 23, 2014 on Long Island, at
Mid-Island Y JCC, 45 Manetto Hill Road, Plainview; 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Monday, February 24, 2014 in the Manhattan office of UJA-Federation, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

wolfsonDr. Ron Wolfson is the Fingerhut Professor of Education at American Jewish University, President of Synagogue 3000/NextDor, and author of Relational Judaism: Using the Power of Relationships to Transform the Jewish Community (Jewish Lights Publishing).

JOIN for Justice strengthens the community organizing practice of Jewish organizers, leaders, and entire organizations so that the Jewish community can effectively play a role in the social justice struggles of our country. JOIN for Justice also promotes and develops the art and science of organizing among Jews in order to strengthen the Jewish community itself by helping build Jewish communities of relationship, mission, and action.
